Measuring 35 feet in length by 8.5 feet in width, this tiny house offers almost 300 square feet of comfortable living space. The siding is cedar and metal, and the roof is metal as well. Meg and Steve say that when it rains, the roof producing a relaxing sound—something I never would have thought of! A lot of tiny houses now include metal roofs for their durability and easy maintenance, but the sound of the rain falling would be an unexpected benefit!
The rustic flavor of the house is the result of the materials and construction methods used. The walls are white-washed pine, providing a “farmhouse” appeal. The teal kitchen cabinets contrast nicely in a color which is currently trending in interior design. You can see that the kitchen boasts lots of counter space, a huge sink, a full-size fridge and freezer, a stove and oven, and a microwave.
Across from the kitchen is the living room, which features a couple of comfortable chairs and some simple but homey décor.
According to the house’s description, “The best part about this home is the spaciousness of their bedroom- not normal for a tiny house, Megan and Stephen are able to be as comfortable as they would be in a normal home with the ability to stand and walk around in their bedroom.
This truly is a fabulous feature—I personally feel that many tiny house bedrooms are cramped. This one looks so much more comfortable than most!
Meg and Steve look really happy in this photo—and they should be! They have done an incredible job designing and building a tiny house which fits their personalities, and is unique as they are.
