I’ve noticed that most tiny houses fall into one of two style categories: rustic or contemporary. But what if you like both of those looks, and you want a tiny house which combines them into one amazing abode?
That is exactly what New Frontier Tiny Homes has achieved with their Cedar Mountain home. The Cedar Mountain Tiny House has elements of rustic design combined with some modern materials for a fresh look and feel.
If New Frontier Tiny Homes rings a bell, that is probably because you read my previous entry on their Alpha Tiny House. The Alpha House, their flagship home, sells for $95,000. It is amazing, but obviously at the higher end and not affordable to everyone. The Cedar Mountain Tiny House on the other hand is just $69,000. Let’s take a look!
The outside of the Cedar Mountain Tiny House matches its name—very rustic all around. Notice how the corner is concave, allowing for a little porch by the front door. It eats into the space inside the home a bit, but allows for a perfect spot for some flower pots (and a good place to wipe the mud off your boots).
The view from around back shows off more windows and beautiful wood design.
Walking in through the front door of the Cedar Mountain Tiny House, here is the view you see. You find yourself in the kitchen with the countertop to your right, the bathroom in the back on the left, and a cute little nook on the right which you can use as a study or just a spot to relax. A ladder leads up to the loft.
Turning back to look out the front door, here is what you see:
Check out all those gorgeous windows around the kitchen sink! The countertop is gorgeous too, made out of aluminum—quite an unexpected material in an otherwise rustic-looking dwelling.
The aluminum construction continues in the bathroom, adding more of that modern touch. This also makes it easy for this room to double as a shower.
Here is the little nook off to the right of the bathroom which you glimpsed previously through the kitchen. There is a small desk and a window providing natural light. The bench provides a cozy spot to work or relax …
… And it provides you with some extra storage space.
Here is the bedroom up in the loft. What really makes this room work are the windows! They take up most of the space on both walls, so this gives the room some openness. Otherwise it would feel very cramped.
As you can see through, looking out through the bed, it doesn’t feel cramped at all. You can see down into the kitchen and across to the little storage loft over the door. Also notice there is an extra nook for storage to the left at the foot of the bed. Now wouldn’t it be amazing to wake up in this bed in the morning, looking down at your beautiful tiny home?
