Venice, California is a gorgeous town full of visitors year-round thanks to its perfect weather and scenery. One couple decided to take advantage of the tourism traffic by designing a beautiful craftsman-style tiny house to rent out to guests. The 400-square foot home is unique and cozy giving travelers everything you could wish for while visiting Venice.
The home is V-shaped with huge windows and doors that can be flung open to let natural light and fresh air fill the inside of the home. Painted plywood floors add a fun flair to the home and contrast with the crisp white wood on the ceilings and beams. Reclaimed woods pieces fill in the slim gaps between the windows and doors and add texture to the home.
The home was soaring ceilings and a completely open floor plan making the guest feel like they’re relaxing in a luxurious cabana.
One wing of the house holds the small and cozy living room with a large TV mounted overhead and doors leading out to the brick patio. The couch in the room is actually an old prison bed that was converted into a sofa!
The other wing holds the bedroom and bath area. The bed has storage below it and a large armoire and dresser for clothing storage. On the opposite wall is a makeshift bathroom sectioned off with old frosted glass doors.
The dining area is between the living room and the kitchen and has a wood and metal table that could comfortably seat four guests.
The kitchen is in the apex of the house and has tons of lower cabinets with a butcher block countertop. A gas cooktop and mini fridge are also in the kitchen as well as a deep stainless steel sink.
We love how warm and inviting this tiny house is and could definitely imagine having a glass of wine with friends in the courtyard!
