If you can purchase a relatively finished tiny house for less than $40,000, that is a pretty good deal. One lovely little home which has recently been put up for sale for $20,000 is this one in Portsmouth, VA. Water and sewer still have to be added, but the electrical setup is all good to go.
The home measures 12’ x 24’, and is pre-manufactured. One of the nicest features is most definitely the porch, which is spacious and sheltered and includes a lovely railing.
The house can be shipped to your location if you decide to buy it, but you do need to tack on the costs of shipping.
There are two lofts in the house, so that means plenty of room for sleeping and storage. Check out all the floor space here. That is seriously impressive!
The living room looks so cozy! The floor and walls are finished, complete with a lovely paint job on the walls. I’m not sure if that’s a blue or green (maybe something in between), but it’s really pretty. You can see that the stairs still require finishing, but they are at least functional.
Here is a better look at the stairs, as well as what I presume is the kitchen (minus the cabinets, which are not there yet).
Even without the cabinets, the kitchen actually looks to be pretty functional already. Some basic storage solutions have already been integrated into the room, and there is a microwave ready to go along with a full-size fridge and freezer unit.
To me it doesn’t actually look like the kitchen needs all that much more. There is more than one way to set up a cooking space, and to me this one looks pretty great just as it is.
You can just get a glimpse at the other loft as we look back toward the living room from the kitchen.
If you want to learn more about this tiny house for sale, you can get in touch with Kendra at the Tiny House Marketplace on Facebook. The house was first posted for $45,000, so it has received quite a hefty discount. $20,000 is a stupendously good deal, so think about grabbing it while you can.
