Recently I discovered NW Comfy Cabins, which rents out quite a few properties in the Leavenworth area, all with a rustic theme befitting the region. I would like to share one of their tiniest cabins with you, which they have named, “An Oasis.”
Surrounded by forest, this quaint little cabin looks like a storybook sanctuary.
There is a lovely little sheltered porch with a grill and a couple of reclining seats, and nearby there is a hot tub to enjoy.
Next to the tiny cabin is a large fire pit surrounded by benches and seats. Close to that, there is a picnic table. A couple of birdhouses are in the trees so that guests can enjoy watching the feathered residents.
The brightly colored cushions on the bench next to the door add cheer to the exterior, along with the matching curtains in the window and flower pots at the edge of the porch.
In this photo, you can see that the hot tub has an awning so that you don’t get too much sun while you are enjoying a soak.
The fireplace which you see in the living area is powered by propane. There is a small kitchen to the right where guests can prepare their own food. Across from the couch is a cable TV. Free WiFi is available in the tiny cabin as well.
If you are getting a retro feel from this interior, that is not a coincidence. Even though the tiny trend has really taken off over recent years, some tiny houses date way back. This little cabin was constructed in 1972.
Even though the kitchen doesn’t take up a lot of space, it has everything you could ask for (an oven, cooktop, microwave, and fridge—not to mention lots of counter space). The layout of the counters means that you could reach everything you need without having to move around much as you cook.
The warm, almost golden finish of the wood really makes the house feel inviting and cozy.
Red reindeer cushions add pops of color along with the matching drapes.
Guests can dine right next to the window while enjoying the view.
This is one of two bedrooms in which you can sleep in the tiny A-frame cabin.
The monochromatic color scheme of the bathroom is simple but striking. The design on the bathroom curtain is a reminder of the rustic setting of the cabin.
Glancing inside the shower, you can see that it is roomy and has convenient shelves.
If you would like to do your laundry during your stay, a washer and dryer are waiting for you.
The second, larger bedroom is located upstairs. It has a charming “attic” feel, and fits two queen-sized beds. The same simple but appealing color scheme used downstairs is continued in this room, expressed through the red curtains as well as the lovely patchwork bedspreads.
Like the downstairs, the upstairs bedroom offers amazing views of the forest surroundings.
