Wind River Tiny Homes out of Chattanooga, Tennessee specialized in designing and building high-quality custom tiny homes for their clients. One of their homes is called the “Monocle” and it’s pretty easy to see why when you get a look at the large round window on the front of the home. The 24 foot long Monocle was designed for a California couple however you can have your own version for around $76,500.
The exterior of the home is covered in weathered gray siding with navy blue trim and creamy white casings for a classic color scheme.
Large French doors greet you as you come up to the home and also let natural light flood inside.
The home is mostly white with warm wood tones brought in through the ceiling, floors, and accents to keep the home from feeling bland.
Just inside the French doors is an open living area with a full-sized couch and plenty of floor space for extra furniture and ease of movement. The home is 10 feet wide which definitely shows with such open spaces!
One of the features that we love about this house is that it has a real working fireplace! The charming wood burning fireplace is built into the bookcases next to the couch.
Suspended shelves separate the living room from the kitchen and give a place for storage without blocking light from coming through.
The bright kitchen is located on the back of the home and features white cabinets with wood countertops and floating shelves for open storage above.
A large farmhouse sink was added next to a mini-fridge which blends in with the cabinets for a cohesive look.
The floating shelves give a great place to store dishes and canisters without being too bulky in the smaller space. The result is an open and airy kitchen with clean and crisp lines.
A small dining table is on the wall under a window and can be propped up when in use and then folded down when it’s not needed to give you more room to move around the kitchen.
We love the copper hardware chosen for the cabinets! It pulls the warm tones out of the wood countertops and adds a modern touch to the home.
The loft is over the living room and bathroom and it features a bright copper railing for safety and plenty of room for a comfy bed and extra storage.
Back downstairs is the jewel of the home: the bathroom. This room was given the most attention and space in the tiny house and the final product is a sight to see!
A full-sized soaking tub was given centerstage with a custom wood and stone surround. And of course, there’s the huge round window which looks outside.
For those times when you just don’t have time for a bath, the corner of the bathroom has a stone shower stall.
Just outside of the bathroom is another work of art, the closets. Featuring custom wood doors with copper pulls, the closets are two separate units which pull out to reveal hanging his and hers clothes storage.
This home is beautiful from every angle and in every way!
