Every now and then, we stumble upon a tiny house that is so unique and special we’re left speechless! The Old Timey Caravan tiny house (24’*8.5′) is definitely one of those! This incredible home was designed and built by The Unknown Craftsmen and we just know that you’re going to love it!
Video House Tour:
The outside features red pine siding and cedar shingles with a really neat curved roof that’s a good sign of things to come inside. And don’t miss those steps leading to the doors! Those are custom steps with a live edge.
Inside, beautiful wood accents are found all over the tiny house from the floor to the ceiling. We love the rough exposed beams and the carved pieces in the eave. The builder wisely kept the curved ceiling white to really show off the woodwork.
The pine walls were kept natural to show off the beauty of the wood. The home has a nicely sized living area with a built-in bench under the window.
The floors are made with wide planks and the door has a curved top to go along with the ceiling line.
Here you can see the custom hand carved piece that accents the sleeping loft. That’s something you don’t see in every tiny home!
The living room has two built-in benches with open storage space below each. From here you can also see the unbelievable staircase to the loft on the left of the room.
It has storage in each step and really looks more like furniture than a ladder.
The top stair was made with a treated branch and looks like a step in a tree!
Downstairs is the first sleeping area and it looks like something for a doll! The bed is built into the hall with a curved opening below the exposed beams.
Inside the sleeping area is a beautiful window that swings in to let the sunshine and air inside. We love the charming details on this window.
The bed also makes a great spot for reading during the day!
Upstairs, you find the second sleeping area. There’s a cute round window to let fresh air into the space.
You have plenty of room for a nice-sized mattress and there is even a built-in ledge to display your favorite knick-knacks or pictures.
Back downstairs, you can see how the living area meets the kitchen. The built-in bench is next to the eating area. Look at those pretty live edges!
The counter top is a gorgeous slab of wood with the edge left natural. And look at the sink! It’s a bucket dropped down into the counter! And you have a small stove top with two burners.
The bathroom has another unique sink made from a bucket cut into the wood cabinet.
The toilet is built into a wood stand.
We love this tiny house! There are so many personal and custom touches packed into this 24’x8.5’ space.
