The Vancouver housing market is known for having astronomical prices with the average house costing over $1 Million! When this next couple decided they wanted to live in the pricey city without the steep price tag, they started designing plans to build their own tiny house with a $30,000 budget.

The home is parked on a blueberry farm and is even a bright blue color itself with a charming yellow door and barn-style roof.
Inside, the home feels spacious thanks to the tall barn ceilings and polished wood that covers just about every surface of the home. The front of the house is a combined living and dining area with two benches and a table in between. Storage is found inside each bench as well as in the small loft overhead.
The full-sized staircase leading to the loft offers even more storage with deep cubbies built into every step. Large windows line the wall behind the stairs and let natural light flood the room and they can also be opened up to get fresh air.
The loft is deep with enough room for a queen-sized bed to sit down between the built-in storage on either side of the room. A skylight was installed over the head of the bed to allow for star gazing while lying in bed.
The home’s kitchen is well-equipped with a large stove and oven and full-sized refrigerator. A molded countertop sits on top of the custom wood cabinet and the water heater is mounted to the wall above and to the side of the large stainless steel sink.
The bathroom is off of the kitchen and it features a composting toilet, shower stall, and custom vanity with a vessel sink and ledge for storage.
We think this adorable blue tiny house is the perfect solution to the expensive housing market in Vancouver! If you want to see more of the home, watch this video tour at https://youtu.be/CvbM_WyrGP8.
