Brendon and Akua live in Vancouver in a charming tiny house that they built with the help of Smallworks Studios. The 500 square foot home was built behind Brendon’s parent’s home and features a garage and balcony with a deluxe kitchen. We love the clever design of this tiny house and how well it uses every inch possible.
Video house tour:
The garage is on the back of the house with a frosted glass balcony above it. A privacy fence surrounds the property and is made out of the same wood that accentuates the sage-green home.
Inside, the home is thoughtfully laid out to maximize the space in every room. The kitchen is on the main level with the garage and bathroom and it stretches down a long room with a slate countertop and custom white cabinets both above and below. A slim refrigerator is tucked into a tall cabinet and you have long window seat looking out the picture window across from
the sink.
The bright bathroom is off of the kitchen with a large shower and tub combo, slim sink, and toilet.
Upstairs, you have the living area, bedroom, and balcony. The living room is spacious with room for a sofa and chairs. A sliding glass door leads you out to the balcony where there’s another dining table for outdoor eating and relaxing.
The bedroom is tucked into an alcove off of the living room with just enough space for a queen-sized bed to squeeze into. However, the room feels airy thanks to the many windows that surround the space.
