Love the old-fashioned barnyard charm of the Midwest? If so, you will fall head over heels for the Escape Vintage home, which looks exactly like a tiny farmhouse! In fact, this tiny house is so beautiful and reasonably-priced (starts at under $60,000) that numerous publications have fallen in love with it too. Forbes even referred to it as “The Most Beautiful Tiny House in the World.”
Let’s take a gander at this 313-square-foot wonder on wheels!
This is a beautiful photo showcasing the Escape Vintage house in all of its country glory. Notice the flowerboxes under the windows and the solar panel on the roof.
Inside the home, we find ourselves in a lovely country kitchen. I grew up with family in the Midwest, and I recognize familiar design motifs here—the shelves over the windows, the build of the kitchen cabinets, even the look of the table. It is all very subtle, but does a great job conveying that country ambiance.
Here we are still in the kitchen, looking back the other direction toward the back of the home. Now, pay close attention to the table, and check out what it can do …
As you can see, it can flip down out of the way! What a cool option for saving space. It looks fast, easy and convenient to use.
Let’s check out the loft. It is pretty small, but the light colors of the walls and the floor and the open design leading into the main room keep it from being claustrophobic. You could fit a bed up here if you wanted, or you could just use it as an extra space for storage or living. There is another bedroom downstairs. I’ll show you the bedroom in just a minute, but first let’s swing by the bathroom …
It’s quite clever how the laundry machine has been stowed under the sink. This is great conservation of space.
Here is that downstairs bedroom. Once again we have light colors used in here, but they aren’t all the same identical shade of white. I like this because using similar shades does create an illusion of more space, but the variations in tone keep it from seeming featureless or sparse.
In this photo of the bedroom, you can see that there is a little extra space to walk along the side of the bed. There is also a sizeable closet in the corner.
You will find extra storage under the bed.
In case you are curious, here are the floor plans so you can see how it all fits together.
