If you’re purchasing a tiny house, one of the reasons the lifestyle might appeal to you is the idea of living in closer connection with your surroundings. That means you may be looking for a home with a spacious porch which lets you enjoy the beauty of nature.
While there are a lot of lovely tiny homes that fit that description, it is hard to compete with this new house from Park Model Homes.
The home is called the Hall Palm Harbor Park Model, and features a 12-foot porch. While you can see just from this photo that the porch is impressive, it’s even more amazing when you are standing on it …
It’s really like a room unto itself with open sides! With the huge front doors, there is a unified flow of space between the inside and outside of the house.
Here is the view you can enjoy looking out from all sides. You definitely will want to park this house somewhere scenic so that you can make the most of the porch. It looks like you have more than enough room here not just to relax on your own, but also to host parties.
These photos were uploaded in a somewhat random order, so we begin with a shot of the staircase in the home.
Here is a photo which shows off the bathroom, which is well worth showing off. In particular, the vanity boasts an impressive amount of space both on the counter and underneath. The huge mirror is also a surprising feature to find in a tiny house bathroom.
The stairs lead up to the loft. The railing provides for safety, but still maintains the sense of open space flowing between loft and the rest of the home.
The large doors are a highlight of the home’s design, as are the tall cabinets that you see to the left.
An apartment-sized fridge and freezer are waiting in the kitchen.
This wonderful shot shows off the row of windows along the side of the house and the impressive amount of light which they admit to the interior.
Back in the bathroom, you can behold a spacious shower with beautiful tiled walls. Also notice the narrow set of shelves to the left which has been customized to fit and make use of a tiny bit of extra space which would’ve otherwise been wasted.
As is the case with many houses by Park Model Homes, a high ceiling really opens up the living space.
The perspective of this photo does a good job showing off the layout of the house as well as how the interior living space compares to the patio space.
There’s more than enough room here for plenty of furnishings. Notice also that this room has been carpeted. I noticed that this is not very common in tiny houses. While hardwood is beautiful and easy to clean, there is something to be said for soft, warm carpeting underfoot. I really like that this home features both types of flooring.
You can see the entire kitchen in this photo as well as the somewhat unusual layout of the space and the countertops. While the presence of the loft overhead brings the ceiling lower, it also establishes the kitchen as its own separate space.
The living room feels just as spacious when you’re standing in the middle of it as it does when you are looking down on it from above. Another feature to pay attention to here is the set of cabinets next to the stairs. You can see now why the stairs are so narrow. It was a good opportunity to squeeze in some extra storage space without intruding on the living room.
The predominant color in the house is white for the walls and cabinets, but the neutral wood tones keep the white from becoming overwhelming. Together, they work to create an airy ambiance.
Park Model Homes puts care and attention into making every detail of a house stand out. You can see an example of their beautiful craftsmanship in this door.
There is a downstairs bedroom! This feature, once a rarity in tiny houses, is slowly become more standard. Park Model Homes isn’t waiting around for the rest of the industry to catch up. They’re leading the way.
Here’s the loft again.
Remember those tall cabinets you glimpsed next to the door previously? Here is a better look at them!
There’s a shower grab bar, which is another nice feature I don’t see nearly often enough.
Park Model Homes does well finding spots to fit in laundry machines, and this home is no exception. You’ll find the washer and dryer right in the kitchen.
Custom shelving ensures that no bit of space in the home goes underutilized. The wood doorframe here not only frames the doorway itself beautifully, but the space beyond as well.
