If you’re looking for an outstanding deal on a beautifully-constructed tiny house, you will want to take a tour of this custom home for sale in Cleveland, Ohio for just $29,000.
The house features a unique shape and design, and with the French doors open, the home is wide open to the outdoors, making it perfect for someone who owns a large plot of land and would like to enjoy the beauty of nature even while inside the home. As the house was built with camping in mind, this feature makes sense. But for fulltime owners, it would be awesome too.
Measuring 13’6, the house features timberframe construction and is on a 6,000 pound axle. Impressively, the house itself weighs only around 4,000 pounds. This would make it ideal if you have plans to regularly relocate. In fact, you only need a half-ton pickup truck to pull it. This eliminates a lot of the inconvenience of larger tiny houses which weigh twice as much or more.
The kitchen is positioned right next to the front doors, and features large windows above the deep sink and live edge maple countertops. The shelves in the kitchen also are made of the same live edge maple.
On the far right, you can see a small oven in the corner.
Across from the oven are the fridge and freezer. From this photo, they appear to be smaller than the standard apartment size, but going by my own experience, they look to be about the ideal size that you probably really want in a tiny house. An apartment-size fridge is not really necessary, and eats up valuable space.
There is apparently a two-burner stovetop. I assume that it is concealed by that slab of granite on top of the oven. This is a good design anyway, since it gives you more usable counter space when you are not cooking on the stove. Although, it seems like a rather heavy material, so I might be missing something here.
Standing in the kitchen with the front doors to our back, we see the door to the bathroom and the ladder leading to the loft overhead. In the lower right is a stone infrared electric fireplace. According to the current owner, it does a great job keeping the interior warm even when it is below freezing outside. Around the bathroom door, a pallet wood accent wall adds color and texture to the interior, complementing the stonework around the fireplace.
In this photo, you can get a close-up view of the stonework and the live edge wood. There are a lot of different colors present in the stone which are easy to miss when you are standing at a distance, but equally easy to appreciate when you are standing close to them.
The live-edge wood has even been incorporated around the utilities in the home so that every aspect of it has a rustic touch. What a cool way of keep the utilities from appearing entirely utilitarian.
In the bathroom, a composting toilet and a shower tub await.
A row of hooks is available for clothing or towels.
Among the most elegant decorative touches in the home is the gorgeous vessel sink in the bathroom with its copper faucet. It is an eye-catching, luxurious detail that you just don’t expect. Underneath the live-edge counter is some space for storage. The seller says that there is also a sizable storage nook located above the bathroom.
When you are not using the ladder to get up to the loft, you can move it out of the way (for example, you could slide it under a sofa).
Impressively, this entire home measures only 125 ft.². While there is not a lot of extra space, it would be perfectly livable for one or two people. If you just wanted to use it for camping, it could sleep up to three.
The original price that the owner acquired the home for was $31,000. The reason that the price has not been reduced much is that it was already very affordable, and it has only been lightly used by the current owner. So, its value is largely unaffected.
If you want to purchase the home, you will need to tow it away yourself from its current location in Ohio. If you would like to learn more or contact the seller, visit this post.
