Today I have a gorgeous tiny house to share with you which is on sale right now in Hawaii! With its bright blue façade, white roof, and unique hemispherical windows, it fits beautifully into its current island environment and would add appeal to any site where you installed it.
The seller writes, “This is a one-of-a-kind home. Trailer, furnishings, and deck included. There is plenty of storage under stairs including a small closet and built into the queen bedframe there are six drawers. This home has beautiful tile detailing around the circular window, the kitchen backsplash, and in the shower which has a clear roof letting in natural light. All stair treads, windowsills, bartops, and shelving are made of local mango wood. Everything is electric except for a Rinnai propane water heater.”
The included deck adds more liveable space and lets you enjoy the outdoors.
The kitchen features lovely countertops (and plenty of them) and open shelves. The exposed wood beams in the ceiling add a decorative touch and break up all the white while drawing emphasis to the hardwood floor.
One of the things I love about this home is the bathroom. It is located at the back of the kitchen, which is common in tiny homes. But whereas there is often an effort to make the bathroom appear as inconspicuous as possible, here, it is supposed to draw your eye. And why not? That shower is gorgeous. And the blue tiles add color to the whole house.
Just look at the shine on that counter! The window brings in lots of natural light, but at night, those cool contemporary light fixtures overhead would offer all the illumination you need.
There is another large window across the way above the double basin sink; you might have noticed it when we were standing outside.
Behind the stainless steel counter is a lovely tile backsplash in gray. To the left of the sink you see the cooktop, and left of that, the fridge and freezer, which are housed in a custom cabinet with extra storage on top.
Looking toward the far end of the home, you see the sitting area, which includes a unique breakfast bar at the back. There, two contemporary chairs offer a view out of the unique circular window (which is really two hemispheres set together, as you noticed outside).
Here is a closer look.
What a view!
As is common in many tiny homes, the custom cabinet for the fridge/freezer is the top step in a set of cabinet stairs leading to the loft above the kitchen.
Here is what the kitchen looks like with the bathroom door closed. With its frosted glass, it fits well with the contemporary style of the rest of the home.
Much of the beauty of this tiny house can be found in the tiny details! Check out this tiling surrounding the round window.
On the left below the cooktop, those seem to be a set of drawers. It looks like there is a combined washer/dryer on the right for doing your laundry. Directly under the sink are some storage cabinets.
There is symmetry between the cabinets and drawers beneath both countertops.
There is a flush toilet in the bathroom along with some shelves built into the corner to hold extra rolls of toilet paper or whatever else you want.
Similar corner shelves can be found above the elegant round vessel sink.
I know—you’ve been wanting a closer look at that shower. Well, I decided to save the best for (almost) last.
Stepping inside, you can imagine what it would be like to shower in here! The blue tiles are stunning, and you have natural light coming down on you from overhead.
Shelves for your shower supplies are built directly into the tiled walls of the shower, each of them framed in white just like the tiles themselves. So, they fit right in with the shower walls, but at the same time, they stand out and are easy to see (a plus for someone like me, who is nearsighted).
The exposed beams have been painted white on the bedroom ceiling in contrast with those in the kitchen, defining this as a different space. They match the walls to either side, but the rear wall behind the bed is painted blue to complement the exterior of the home and the shower tiles. Corner shelves similar to those in the bathroom are included to either side.
Lighting is already built in and ready to use when you want to curl up with a good book for the night. Also, there is enough room to either side of the bed to walk.
Under the bed are storage drawers, perfect for stowing clothes, books, and more.
You can open the windows in the kitchen wide to let in both the light and the fresh air.
This is such a cool house, and it is on sale for only $89,000! The seller says that they also have an acre of land which is up for sale, but it is not included in the price quoted for the house. If you are interested in the house, the land, or both, you can learn more or contact the seller here.
