If you are in the market for a gorgeous tiny house, one unique home for sale in Chula Vista, California, may catch your eye.
With those bright red doors, it would be hard for this house not to turn heads. It is 24 feet long and 8.5 feet wide with a generous 13 feet of height, providing 275 square feet of living space. Since it is situated on a 24-foot trailer, it is ready to embark on adventures.
I have to comment on the garden, even though it probably doesn’t come with the house. That is a really smart way to grow a lot of plants even without a lot of space. And being parked in as crowded a location as Chula Vista, that is exactly what one would need to do to have a flourishing garden at one’s tiny house.
The current owner’s love for gardening extends to the photos of the interior. Once again, I really love what they have done with the place. The greenery really enlivens and enriches an already beautiful living space. Built in 2016, this house is only a few years old, and looks to be in incredible condition.
The couch is on the left, and across from it are shelves. And (to my delight, particularly), there is a flat-screen TV set up at an ideal ergonomic viewing height across from the couch.
In case you’re wondering, the couch comes with the house, and is actually built right into it, featuring extra storage space beneath. There are two lofts; you can see the ladder leading to one of them on the left.
A much smaller loft has been installed above the kitchen counter. As you can see, it does not extend very far, so the kitchen is left as open as possible. But you could store stuff up there, or even sleep up there, from the look of it. The ladder can be removed if it is in your way.
The current owner writes, “Kitchen includes refrigerator/freezer, propane fed oven/stovetop, and granite countertops. Lots of cabinet space in the kitchen, and open shelving above the counters.” So, all of that is included with your purchase, adding a lot of extra value.
The kitchen loft can be screened off from view if desired. This is the view looking at and out into the living room and kitchen from the main loft across the way.
The door in the back, which is definitely among the house’s most eye-catching features, leads to the bathroom. It lends an artistic touch to the interior, as do the colorful wood boards behind it. The angle also makes it easier to see the entertainment center.
It occurs to me that the ladder on the left which I thought led to the loft, I am now not entirely sure about. There is a flight of stairs which you can glimpse in this photo behind that ladder which leads up to the main loft in back. The seller writes that these stairs double as drawers for storage.
In fact, if we climb the stairs, here is our view of the loft as we emerge on top. On our right, there is room for a large bed, and ahead of us is a floor to ceiling shelf which could be used for books, clothes, decor or personal items. In the corner, there is currently another TV. To either side of it are long windows that currently are covered. If you look at the left-hand side of the frame, you can just glimpse another one.
Given where the house is currently located, I probably would also have my windows closed most of the time. But if you were to move this house to a beautiful rural area, these windows would offer excellent views while letting a ton of sunlight into the loft.
Quite a bit of light also streams into the loft from the main living area. But because the loft is located so close to the ceiling, it does have an air of privacy to it. I don’t think I’ve commented yet on how beautiful the ceiling is. It would be a welcome sight every morning.
The owner writes, “Bathroom has large glass shower, compost toilet, and LG washer/dryer combo. Inside bathroom is open shelving and closet space to hang clothes.”
The bathroom, like the rest of the tiny house, is beautiful! It features tile walls which contrast with the wood used for the rest of the interior, and which would be nice and easy to keep clean (mold is a constant battle in a tiny house, so this is a nice feature). The glass shower stall, likewise, would be a breeze to clean. The narrow vanity to the left is a popular style in tiny houses, maximizing space.
Behind the shower and sink is a laundry machine and a selection of shelves for shower towels, laundry supplies, and so forth. The contrasting colors of wood make for lovely decoration around it.
If you want to purchase this tiny house, it is currently available for $59,500. If you are able to make it out to Chula Vista to look at the house, you can get a showing of it and check it out for yourself. If you are ready to get in contact with the seller, you can do so at Go Tiny House.
