If you’re looking for a sweet deal on a relatively new tiny house, this 384-square-foot model listed for sale in Belton, South Carolina is a great deal at $55,000. The house was constructed in 2017, so as of the time of this writing, it is just a couple years old and in outstanding condition.
The exterior features cedar siding and a metal roof. White trim stands out against the gray siding, making the windows, door, and overall shape of the house stand out. The roof is at an angle so that precipitation can fall off.
There is a lot to get excited about in the kitchen. Along with roomy cabinets and a lot of counter space, there is a full-size stainless steel refrigerator and freezer, a microwave, hot plates, and a convection oven.
Open shelves offer additional storage space without cluttering the appearance of the kitchen.
From the kitchen, this is the view looking toward the living room and beyond to the bathroom, which is located behind a wide sliding barn door. The ladder beside it leads to one of the two lofts. The brick wall behind the ladder and surrounding the entrance to the bathroom adds an interesting texture to the interior.
The only thing I feel needs improvement is the placement of the TV, which is not at an ideal viewing angle for anyone in the house, whether they are in the kitchen or the living room.
The staircase leading to the loft above the kitchen almost blends into the scenery, appearing first and foremost as a set of cabinets. There are no doors on the cabinets right now, but personally, I would probably leave them this way. I have found that it is hard to control moisture in a tiny home, and therefore, open storage often is better for your items, even if the appearance is a little more cluttered.
There is room in the cabinets to store some of the appliances if you want to keep the counter as open as possible.
Some wire racks inside the cabinets make it easier to organize your dishes or ingredients.
I just love all the materials here—the bricks, the wood, the leather. They fit together beautifully.
One of my favorite features in the house is the set of storage lockers on the way to the bathroom! Sometimes I am surprised we don’t see this more often. These ones have been painted. I think the color is a dark grayish blue (or bluish gray).
Also cool is the open vanity under the vessel sink. It has a shelf you could use for storage if you needed to. Otherwise, you could leave it alone. It has a clean, clutter-free, unobtrusive look.
I am totally in love with the huge number of shelves in the shower. Why is this not more common?
The stacked washer and dryer are wedged right between the bathroom and the main living area.
This house features two lofts, both of them measuring 8’ x 10’. I don’t know why there is a railing in the back of this one. Regardless, lots of loft space!
The other loft serves as the master bedroom, and has more of that beautiful brick texturing on the back wall along with some industrial-looking reading lamps. Big windows keep the loft open and well-lit.
