If you prefer a contemporary feel over a rustic one, one tiny house which might grab your attention is this one which is presently for sale, and which was originally built for Season 7 Episode 7 of Tiny House Big Living.
The original appearance of the tiny house was quite different. It was renovated in 2018 both to update the style to a more contemporary one and to boost its functional features. Measuring 320 ft.², it includes a full kitchen and bathroom and a cozy little loft.
In the kitchen, there is an oven, cooktop with a single burner, microwave, and full-size fridge and freezer. The stunning backsplash you see is genuine marble.
To maintain as much open space as possible in the living area, a ladder built into the wall rather than a flight of stairs leads up to the loft space. As you can see, there are actually two lofts. One of them is located over the kitchen, and the other above the bathroom.
Speaking of living space, here you can see the sofa-bed in the living room.
As to the bathroom, it is arguably the most charming space in the house with its tile accent wall. It features a flush toilet, spacious vanity, and a shower with a tub. A Rinnai tankless water heater means you can take long, luxurious showers without worrying about the hot water running out on you.
As tiny as that loft above the kitchen appeared from below, it actually seems to be pretty roomy. I really like the soft colors up here. They are relatively neutral but seem to have a little bit more warmth in them than is typical. Notice the set of mirrors along the right-hand wall. These serve to extend the sense of space a bit. I’m surprised I don’t see this more often in tiny house lofts!
From this perspective, you can get a good look at the entrance to the bathroom with its sliding barn door, as well as the loft above. You also can see how the main living space fits into the picture.
Not only is this sofa-bed a functional addition to the home, but it also provides great aesthetic value.
The exterior of the home is simple and contemporary in appearance with dark siding and a white door. White trim around the windows helps them to stand out. The high contrast of the colors makes for a nice complement to the tiles on the wall of the bathroom.
There are presently a couple of chairs sitting next to the steps, also with a contemporary look.
The ladder which leads to the loft also doubles as a set of towel racks for the bathroom. From this angle, you also can see the shower curtain, which adds even more style to the home.
