If you have been keeping up with our posts, you might remember the Tiny Fox accommodation in Tennessee near Newport which I shared with you. Today, I would like to show you the other tiny accommodation on the same property, the Tiny Owl.
The owner writes, “My place is close to art and culture, great views, restaurants and dining, and family-friendly activities. You’ll love my place because of the views, the location, the people, the ambiance, the outdoors space. A primitive experience with great views and plenty of comfort. TINY OWL located in Cosby/Newport Tennessee approximately 35-40 minutes from Gatlinburg.”
The cabin’s setting is every bit as rustic as the building itself, surrounded by Tennessee’s beautiful forest.
Those who are looking to get away from it all will find their perfect escape at the Tiny Owl cabin.
There are many opportunities to spot wildlife around the cabin.
So, you’ll want to spend plenty of time kicking back in this comfortable hammock and just enjoying the splendour of nature. There is also a picnic table for your convenience.
The Tiny Owl is located beside a mountain stream. You can swim or go out on a boat, depending on the time of year and what strikes your fancy.
The Cherokee National Forest is right nearby, so you will want to spend plenty of time exploring the area.
What is it like to cook in a tiny house kitchen? If you have always wanted to find out, now is your chance. On the left, you can see the kitchen cabinets and countertop along with the three burner cooktop. Dishes are waiting for you on the shelves, and there is even a mini-fridge.
Spending a weekend or longer in this cabin is a great way to get a preview of what living in a tiny house entails.
The cabin includes a small seating area indoors. You’ll likely spend most of your time outdoors, unless you show up in the winter when it is too cold to relax in the hammock.
But visiting in the winter looks like a lot of fun! When you are done playing in the snow, you can step inside the tiny cabin and warm up.
The layout of the tiny cabin is easiest to visualize when standing at the front door and looking toward the back. That is where the little seating area is, and above it is the loft, which you can reach by climbing a ladder from the kitchen. On the left, you can just glimpse the green shower curtain in the bathroom.
Here’s a look inside the bathroom at the toilet and shower and the small floating shelves which prevent the space from feeling cramped while still providing somewhere to keep towels, washcloths, and more.
It is hard not to want to keep stepping back outside to take another look at the cabin from every angle. It is just so beautiful.
The loft looks pretty small, but according to the owner, this tiny cabin can accommodate up to two guests at a time.
I love the cozy effect that the porch lights have.
Describing the cabin’s amenities, the owner writes, “The cabin is equipped with heat, AC, towels, linens and kitchen necessities, TV/DVD player. Tiny Owl’s surroundings are secluded with access to hiking trails, a pond and a wood fired sauna available. The sauna is an additional charge and by appointment only. Staff is also available [for] massages.”
If you don’t want to cook indoors, you can use the fire pit with grill which is provided outdoors. You can purchase firewood.
If you want to book a stay at the Tiny Owl cabin, as of the time of this writing, it costs only $58 per night—less than you would spend at a typical hotel in many parts of the country, and you get to have a far more unique and exciting experience. To place a reservation, visit AirBnB.
