Love tiny houses, and love cats? Have a cat, and want it to love your new tiny house as much as you do? The Riverbend Cottage by Incredible Tiny Homes might just be the feline tiny paradise you and your pet have been looking for.
This house is so cute with its bright blue siding, its white trim, and its red door. It just seems to exude happiness!
No wonder the home’s owner (?) seems to be glowing with happiness herself.
The resident cat can be observed on the couch adjacent to the kitchen. Windows let in light from every angle. The kitchen features more counter space than you would expect in a house measuring only 18’ x 10’ (180 square feet). The sink also appears to be super spacious.
Room has been found to accommodate an apartment size fridge and freezer with a microwave on top. In the background, you can see the custom shelves which have been installed in the corners ensuring that no space is wasted in the tiny kitchen.
A second cat presides over its tiny but bountiful empire from on high. And what a view it has to enjoy! There is a little walkway that winds around the perimeter of the home upstairs. If you did not have cats, you could use this to display decorative items. Otherwise, you’ll want to leave it free and clear for feline free rein.
The blue dusk glow outside really makes the warm, golden glow of the wood walls stand out, doesn’t it? Next to the couch is a set of shelves spanning from floor to ceiling, ideal for displaying pictures and knickknacks. To the left of the shelf is the entrance that takes you to the bathroom. The kitty on the couch looks very contented.
A shelf like this is a really nice feature to see in a tiny house, where most storage is typically concealed. While it is good to be able to keep clutter out of sight, there are some items that you might want to display.
The bathroom has a flush toilet installed, but the really interesting feature is under the countertop on the left of the toilet. A bar has been installed for hangers so that shirts can be kept under the bathroom counter. I have never seen any idea like this, but it seems really smart. The only danger would be the potential for mold to cling to your garments. You would not want to pack your shirts in too tightly.
It makes me wonder whether this same idea could work even better in other rooms where moisture is not an issue.
A wide flight of steps leads up to the bedroom loft. The flat-screen TV has been mounted to the top step. This too is another arrangement I have never seen before. But it would make sense if you didn’t have a free wall, and it is good to see from this example that it is at least possible!
The last step up to the loft is a big one, so you would need to be comfortable with that. Across the way, there is a cute little dresser next to the bed.
So many lovely features combine to make this tiny house the perfect abode.
