Tiny Diamond Homes is a company which is known for its very roomy tiny houses. These houses definitely aren’t “large” compared to standard-size homes, but they are much more spacious than many of their tiny house counterparts. One which is particularly sizable is the appropriately-named “Purple Monster.”
The exterior of the Purple Monster is … well, purple. This siding color will instantly grab attention wherever it goes. Personally I think it gives the home character.
The Purple Monster measures 38 x 10 feet, so that’s 380 square feet total. There are some larger tiny homes which are around 500 square feet (which is pushing the definition, but still not outlandish), but many others are closer to 200-300 square feet or even less. Next to those, this one offers plenty of extra space.
The interior of the house features beautiful wood. The larger size of the home means that a full-size staircase leads up to the loft, with lots of storage space located underneath.
In the kitchen we have not just the sink, but also the washing machine. What really stands out to me about this space however is the subtle way that all the features blend together. You can almost miss the cabinets because they blend into the walls, probably a result of the strong horizontal lines in the wood grain. This helps to keep the kitchen from feeling crowded. Also impressive is the sheer amount of counter space.
The kitchen includes a stove and oven and a full-size refrigerator and freezer.
The bathroom is just awesome! You will never feel cramped in this huge shower stall, which includes a full-size tub. I love the glass walls of the shower as well, which do even more to keep the stall from feeling claustrophobic.
Underneath the loft and next to the stairs is more living space, complete with a rustic bench.
If you were having a hard time visualizing the layout, I think this photo will help! Now you can see where the oven and stove fit into picture.
This is actually the first shot of this house which has made it obvious to me that the home is “tiny.”
The wood grain in this house really is phenomenally beautiful, isn’t it?
It is so easy to picture grabbing a chair and setting down my laptop and working at this desk. The other thing to notice in this shot is the ample closet space. You won’t struggle here to find room for your clothes like you would in a lot of other tiny homes!
I am not sure if I am picturing dimensions incorrectly here, but the seemingly tall step into the loft confuses me a bit.
So much space!
I really like what the company says on its website about its name, which is that a diamond “has the strength to endure the unique stresses of the road.” These homes are built to “sparkle for generations.”
The Purple Monster certainly does sparkle!
Now that you’ve toured The Purple Monster, you should head over to Tiny Diamond Homes to see more of their portfolio.
