If you dream of having a tiny house with a roomy porch, the 399.73 square foot Mindy by Pratt Homes is a model that may fit your needs. Let’s take a tour of this spacious contemporary tiny house.
The home features an interesting layout where the front door is along the side of the home rather than at one of the ends. The porch extends to either side of it, wrapping around to a seating area which includes an outdoor fireplace.
This is such a beautifully appointed porch space that at a glance, you can momentarily mistake it for an indoor living room! With a gorgeous fireplace and a flat-screen TV awaiting you, you could spend a lot of pleasant days or evenings lounging around out here.
There is room for a large flat-screen TV indoors as well. The large clock on the wall makes for elegant décor, and the monochromatic theme of the house does well to accent the contemporary styling.
The living room and the kitchen are directly connected to one another, but the wall behind the TV screen provides a partial partition to divide the spaces for their separate functions.
Look at that vast counter space just waiting for you to fill it with ingredients and cutlery!
Even with all that counter space, this is a kitchen that has everything else you could possibly ask for. There is an oven and cooktop, microwave, large refrigerator and freezer, and even a dishwasher. It is pretty rare to come across a tiny house that has a dishwasher, especially if there is an oven present as well.
Wow, that is actually a full-size fridge and freezer, not an apartment-size model!
The sink basin isn’t enormous, but it does have that deep farmhouse style which gives you lots of room to work with.
Notice how the colors in the floor seem to mirror those found throughout the house. The subtle variations give the space a look which is unified, but not overwhelming.
The understated, elegant décor continues in the bedroom. One particularly nice touch is the bedside table, which features the same variations in hue that you see in the floor and throughout the interior.
There is a lot to love about this bathroom, from the large cabinet to all that ample counter space. The shower also looks awesome. The tiles feature a cool color gradient (that or it is part of the glass). And we have a real flush toilet!
Who could ask for more in terms of cabinet space?
Here’s the same model of tiny house, but this time with a completely different color scheme featuring warm browns and various shades of blue and gray. The entire look and feel of the home has transformed through these different color options, but you have the same functionality from the layout.
Between the two color schemes, this one is most definitely my favorite, especially in the bedroom, where it lends the entire space a cozy, rustic feel. The blue and brown contrast wonderfully with each other, but are soft and subtle so as not to overwhelm the senses.
The layout of the home is easy to visualize standing in the kitchen and looking toward the bedroom and bathroom. The wall-filling tile backslash is almost startlingly beautiful.
On the left, you can see another version of the exterior of the home.
We’re back to the first version of the home here for these last couple shots. Notice the clock above the fireplace, which is a match for the decorative clock on the wall inside.
This unique photo taken through the open door shows you the flow of the space between the porch and the living room.
If you love the Mindy as much as I do, you probably want to pack your things and move into it this instant. To learn more about the house or to contact the builder, visit Pratt Homes.
