Imagine that you’re driving in your car behind your partner, who is hauling your new tiny home up the road toward its destination.
In fact … here is a picture to help you out:
I bet that house is even more beautiful than the dream home you pictured in your head, am I right?
It would be a thrill to own a tiny house as beautiful as that. The home is known as the “Blue Caboose,” and is a creation by Tiny Diamond Homes.
The color used for the siding is almost a perfect match for the blue of the sky. Let’s check out what it’s like inside.
What a gorgeous living room! It is the contrasts which really make this space. The dark wood flooring, the deep blue couch, and the colorful rugs stand out against the light wood used for the walls and the ceiling, helping to define the space.
The subtle curve of the ceiling quite literally keeps the space from feeling “flat.”
The living room and bedroom are combined in this home. This along with the high ceiling provides an incredible openness. I have rarely seen vertical space like this in a tiny house! It also makes it possible for a lot of light to stream in from overhead unobstructed.
Like quite a few other tiny houses, this one relies on a small furnace in the living room for heat.
There aren’t a lot of great shots of the kitchen, but here you can at least get a look at the oven and stove.
The big window above the stove is a major plus.
The bathroom features a flushing toilet.
The sink is wedged in pretty tight against the wall, but it does have a fairly large mirror hanging over it, which is cool.
Blue is the dominant color in the bedroom. There is a large window next to the bed.
For a lot of families, an arrangement like this wouldn’t work out, but if you are on your own or living with just one other person, having the bed in the main living area like this makes a lot of sense.
You don’t have to deal with a low ceiling like you would in a loft.
That bedspread is magnificent. I can’t help but wonder if it is handmade. In any case, it is a perfect fit for the ambiance of the home, and really does a lot to add to it. It stands out from clear across the room.
