Since discovering Pratt Homes, I’ve been impressed with their lovely tiny houses, quite a few of which feature downstairs bedrooms and other convenient features. Let’s check out one called the Arrowhead Lodge.
The brown siding and green roofs are popular combination nowadays.
The kitchen has an angled counter, making for a tight fit—but also providing lots of cabinet and counter space. By angling the counter like this, the living room is less obstructed, leaving room for larger furnishings.
There is an oven, microwave, and apartment-size fridge and freezer. To ensure that no space goes to waste, there is even a tiny pair of cabinets above the freezer. As to that extra bit of counter space between the fridge and the stove, it would be hard to make use of that for food prep, but it could be used to hold ingredients you commonly need.
A pitched roof makes for a wide-open feeling.
A proper set of stairs complete with railings leads up to the loft.
Here are the stairs from a different angle. You can see the lower floor bedroom in the back.
The downstairs bedroom is a cozy little space with just enough room for a dresser and a large bed. I wish there were photos of the rest of the room! I really like the decision to put mirrors on the closet doors. Not only does this fulfill the obvious function of providing a mirror in a logical location, but it also make the room look a little bigger.
In the bathroom, we see a flush toilet and a shower. The most exciting thing in this image? There is an actual full-size bathtub! Wow! That isn’t something you see too often in a tiny house!
Here is the floor plan for the Arrowhead Lodge.
This is not just another bed you rest in overnight. It is a dazzling experience! Superhost Gabriella will amaze you with her cozy tiny house.
The Cricket is a rustic historic cabin in a small neighborhood on Spring Street along side the rushing Clear Creek and nestled among an Aspen grove.
Serenely situated between Gravenhurst and Bracebridge, Tiny Haus has been custom built by an award winning architect to capture the beauty of the natural surroundings.
