With a brown dome roof and corrugated metal siding, it’s no wonder that this next tiny house is known as the Mushroom Dome Cabin! The tiny house is located on a deck in the trees close to Monterey Bay in California and with such perfect year-round weather, it’s become the #1 rental on Airbnb. It can sleep up to three guests and gives you amazing views of nature including the Milky Way on clear nights.
The living area has a futon which serves as a couch during the day and a guest bed at night. The folding table against the wall is for dining and the bathroom is behind the purple curtain.
A small kitchenette is also available with a mini-fridge, sink, and small appliances including a hot plate and toaster oven giving you everything you need to prepare easy meals during your stay. The ladder coming down into the room takes you up to the loft.
The main guest bed is in the top of the home under the geometric roof. There’s a TV for watching movies or you can watch the scenery out the window instead.
Back downstairs is a small bathroom with a shower stall, toilet, and sink.
The shower is covered in travertine tiles and even has a skylight to brighten the stall.
If you’re looking for an escape to nature, we can’t imagine a better tiny house for you! Plus, it’s super convenient to local attractions like the Redwood Forest and Big Sur.
Another bonus of the Mushroom Dome tiny house is that it’s home to hundreds of hummingbirds so you’ll be surrounded by tiny neighbors!
Rates for the tiny house start at $125 a night and they stay pretty booked so be sure to reserve your stay well in advance of your trip! Go to https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/8357 for more pictures and information.
