If you’ve ever dreamed of living in a treehouse or if you just want to relive your childhood for a few nights, we have a place that you have to see! In Grubville, Missouri we’ve found a tiny treehouse on a farm that rents for $129 a night through Airbnb!
Just an hour from the St. Louis Airport, this house sleeps seven people and lets you reconnect with nature and unplug from the world.
The interior is cozy and looks great for relaxing, especially that hanging hammock chair in the living room! The futon folds out for one or two guests at night.
When folded out, the futon makes a nice comfy queen-sized bed.
The house was actually built around several trees which you can see in this picture! Two large trees come right up through the living area.
Double sliding doors slide open to let plenty of fresh air in and to let you enjoy the pine forest that surrounds the treehouse. But there isn’t a balcony, so it’s just for looking out!
The kitchen is separated from the living room by a curtain which can easily be opened when entertaining or closed when privacy is needed.
The kitchen has everything you need to make a meal including an oven/stove combo, microwave, toaster oven, mini-fridge and double sink. It’s also fully stocked with dishes and pots and pans so all you need to bring is food!
A dining area is right off of the kitchen and gives room for four people to eat while looking out the windows.
The loft is above and is reached by a cool old red ladder.
Upstairs there are two twin beds and room for storage on one side of the loft.
On the other side of the loft is what the owners call the “Lover’s Nook” or “Reader’s Nook”. It’s a cozy bed nestled into a nook.
Next to the nook is a small seating area so this area is also great for enjoying time with friends or telling stories at night.
If more sleeping space is needed, the owners can rearrange the area to accommodate an air mattress.
A small composting toilet is also upstairs with a panel for privacy.
The treehouse is on Magic Land which is 70 acres full of privacy and adventure.
