If you dream of living totally off the grid and without modern day amenities such as water and electricity, we have a tiny house that you’ll probably love! This totally rustic and private home is in Sullivan County, New York and was made from 100-year old reclaimed barn wood. It will definitely take you back to a simpler time with no water, electricity, or plumbing!
But it makes up for it with its peaceful setting and promise of tranquility.
Everything about this home is rustic including the interior which features handmade furniture, art and wood carvings.
Our favorite part of the house is the “sleeping gazebo” which is exactly what it sounds like: a screened-in gazebo with comfy beds set up for sleeping! That’s definitely where you’d find us!
Without plumbing or water, an outhouse is a necessity so there’s one connected to the house by a walkway. There’s also a wood-fire water heater that can warm up collected water for a warm bath.
This home may not have a lot of what we’ve become used to but there’s something to be said about the gorgeous natural setting and the peacefulness that surrounds you while you sit on the stone patio.
