We’ve heard of families of three or four living and loving the tiny house life, but this is the first time we’ve come across a family of seven with three children homeschooling and two parents working on their degrees all while living in 545 square feet! This home was designed to fit the family perfectly and was even featured on Tiny House Nation.
Video House Tour
The exterior of the home is covered in stacked stone with tons of windows for a look that’s natural and refined.
Inside, the home is spacious which is needed for such a large family! Two of the older children are out of the home but since they come to visit often, the home had to be large enough to sleep up to seven. Somehow, they managed to make it work without feeling cramped thanks to soaring ceilings and light-colored walls. The living room has a deep couch that can serve as
a guest bed or as a place to get homework done.
The home has a rustic chandelier made from antlers which works perfectly with the rustic yet refined feeling of the home.
A similar chandelier was hung in the master bedroom which also features large floor-to-ceiling windows and stacked stone walls. Sliding glass doors lead out to the large deck and yard and let even more natural light come in. Also, check out the foot of the bed which is made from a piano!
The kitchen is just outside the master bedroom and features ample storage space in large custom cabinets. It’s fully equipped with every appliance you could ask for as well as a large stainless steel farmhouse sink. An oversized island serves as a dining table with stools that tuck underneath for storage.
The loft is reached by a ladder that extends down into the living room. Upstairs, you have a massive loft with carpeted floors and an excellent layout giving the children space to study, play, and sleep.
The three beds are on top of a platform with large drawers underneath for clothing storage. You also have a wall of built-in cubbies giving each child a place to store their items neatly.
We’re so impressed with this home and so it’s no wonder that it was featured on Tiny House Nation! Check out a clip of the show here https://youtu.be/bq4Kf5-P_WE to see more of this incredible home.
