Sometimes tiny house builders are contacted by clients who love one of their models and want one just like it is. Sometimes they want to tweak it a little. And, in this case, sometimes that want to merge three of their models together to form the perfect custom tiny house for them. That’s exactly what a woman from Georgia wanted when she contacted Rocky Mountain Tiny
Houses to merge their Boulder, Front Range, and Leave models into one fully custom tiny house. The end product was an adorable home with a curved roof that ended up costing $38,000.
The home is built on a 16-foot long trailer with stick frame construction and advanced framing methods that allowed the roof to curve gently and be covered with standard roofing. The sides were wrapped in tin and cedar siding and windows were placed strategically to get the most light and best views from inside based on the floor plan.
The floor plan was entirely dependent on one crucial piece of furniture: the sofa. The owner scoured the internet to find a sofa bed that could double as a comfortable bed with easy conversion and that would fit the tight space without costing an arm and a leg. Unfortunately, we don’t have a picture of the furnished home, but this is the living area unfurnished.
The kitchen features custom cabinetry and a place for a three-way refrigerator that the owner found which was set on a custom platform. The sliding barn door closes off the bathroom and was given three strips of stainless steel to give a place for the owner’s extensive collection of magnets.
A loft is located above the living area for storage or to be used as a guest loft and is accessed by a collapsible ladder which stores completely out of the way when not needed.
The bathroom has a composting toilet and a 32” shower.
This unique tiny home was everything the young owner wanted and more and it truly speaks to the service you can expect from these incredible builders.
