When this couple decided to “go tiny” they decided they would do it all the way and went completely off-grid as well through the use of solar energy. This 210 square foot house was designed to be completely self-sustained and to look good while doing it! The house was completely customized to their needs and has all of the comforts one would want in a home.
The exterior of the house is wrapped in cedar with a metal roof and accents.
Of course, the main element of the exterior are the solar panels! Their tiny house produces its own power using six solar panels mounted to the roof of the house which were designed by the couple and are now sold through their website.
The inside of the home is just as impressive with its trendy styling and spacious floor plan. The walls were kept white with dark hardwood floors providing a nice contrast. The whole home feels light and airy thanks to the many windows and the front door which has a screen door just like at grandma’s!
The couple brought color into the home through décor items like these watercolor paintings.
The living room has a small desk area which can be folded down when not in use. They also installed a large projector and screen to enjoy movie nights.
The kitchen has warm wooden countertops and white cabinets, some which were left open. We love the industrial light fixture over the large window!
A gas stovetop and oven were installed as well as a hood for ventilation.
Wall space was taken advantage of by using magnetic strips for knives and a spice rack on the end of the cabinets.
Upstairs in the loft, a cozy queen-sized bed is set up with furniture pieces for storage and display.
