If you love tiny houses that are elegant and modern, you will want to take a look at these “Contemporary Shepherd’s Huts” by Thomas Alabaster.
The eye is caught immediately by the texture of the corrugated metal which covers the sides and the roof of the house. The front features a small sheltered porch, with glass doors leading inside.
The way the corrugated metal wraps around the exterior makes the walls and roof feel like one solid object.
One of the coolest and most unique features of this house is the skylight. As you can see, it extends along the entire length of the house at the peak of the gabled ceiling.
This skylight ensures that plenty of natural light is able to reach the interior no matter where you are standing inside.
The house includes a minimalist kitchen. I don’t see an oven here, but there is a cooktop.
Personally, I prefer these types of small kitchens in tiny houses. They are adequate for making most meals, and they conserve a lot of space.
That way, you have more room to relax.
There is so much natural light in this house; it is amazing!
This photo taken at night shows you a brightly lit interior which is mostly wide open.
It is easy to haul this house to a location of your choice.
It looks like there is probably just enough room for a chair or two on the porch if you wanted.
If you didn’t figure it out before, that wireframe structure in the back behind the partition is a bed frame. The tall, narrow window brings in light but offers a significant amount of privacy.
There is a bathroom with a shower packed away in this little house too, so it has everything you need to live comfortably.
