A family in North Carolina designed and built a custom tiny house that was suitable for life with small children. Now that they’re moving out of the country, they had to sell what they lovingly called the Little Bitty House. The home has 224 square feet and has two large lofts and everything needed to raise a family simply.
Inside, the home has light gray shiplap walls with rustic wood accents and white trim. A long runner was placed down the hall which instantly adds warmth to the home. Modern appliances and fixtures were chosen for the home like the light lime green lamp hanging on a wheelie and the white ceiling fan in the living room.
The home has two lofts but the current owners chose to use one as a living room so their young daughter’s room could be on the main floor where the living room would typically be set up. Outside of her room is a dining table that can seat four.
The kitchen has gorgeous custom cabinets with wooden countertops and a gas cooktop. The sink is set into a nook in front of a slim window with hanging storage on the walls.
Currently being used a living room, this loft is big enough for a king-sized bed and has natural light and fresh air that comes through the multiple windows in the room.
The second loft is identical to the other loft so you can see how a bed fits in the space.
Downstairs is what would typically be set up as a living room. There’s room for a full-sized couch and furniture.
The home’s bathroom has a shower and tub combination with a toilet and sink vanity with a medicine cabinet above it for storage.
The Little Bitty House proves that tiny living can work for young families with small children just as well as it can for anyone else!
