My tiny house is an RV, so I am always excited when I see someone has done something really fabulous with one, especially if it is an Airstream! I don’t have an Airstream myself, but I am so envious. They look easy to maintain, and they have that beautiful, nostalgic Streamline Moderne look which I just adore.
This Airstream trailer is from 1973. It’s hard to believe, considering it literally looks shiny and new.
So shiny …
The home is named “Pure,” and is described by the seller as “the green, healthy Airstream with purpose.” I could gawk at the outside al day, but let’s step on in …
The dining area is all in neutral hues, and it looks so open and airy with the wide seats and the sun coming in through so many windows! All the materials used inside this home are non-toxic (this is a major issue with RVs and fifth wheels), thus the “Pure” name. There is zero formaldehyde in the subfloor and the insulation is made of recycled denim.
The neutral colors continue in the kitchen. That fridge and freezer unit looks to be about the same size as mine—not as large as a standard residential unit, but not a mini-fridge either. It’s a size which works out pretty well for me (better than the larger one I had before, actually).
The RV features plenty of storage.
It sure looks like a wonderful place to call home!
Here you see the oven, stove, and sink. Yes, the counter space is minimal, but I don’t have much more than that myself. It works out better than you’d expect.
I take it back. I have less counter space than that!
The trash can is cleverly stowed beneath the sink. I’m surprised how rarely I see trash storage issues addressed by tiny house builders, actually.
What a wonderful place to call home year-round! Along with the features already discussed, its boasts upgrades to numerous systems as well as an outdoor shower and a four-speaker sound system.
