Looking for a tiny house with traditional homey vibes, a spacious bedroom, and beautiful craftsmanship? The Champion Athens Park Model APH-528 from Park Model Homes is sure to turn heads wherever it is parked.
Video House Tour:
This tiny house measures 34 and a half feet in length, and provides the occupant with 399 square feet of living space. I don’t know enough architecturally to say what the style of his house is definitively, but it does remind me of the colonial houses which were so common in the neighborhood where I grew up on the East Coast.
With its arch-shaped window and its cute shutters, it definitely stands out from among other tiny houses. A porch can optionally be installed.
The home has no loft, which makes it possible to keep the living room as open and roomy as possible. As you probably expected from the exterior shots, all of those big windows do a wonderful job bringing natural light to every corner of the house.
The neutral color scheme you see here featuring a lot of grays, browns, whites and tans is a common feature among many houses designed by Park Model Homes. They do a wonderful job balancing contrasts in a way which isn’t harsh, but does break up the space in a pleasing way.
The kitchen stands out both functionally and visually. The tile backsplash is particularly eye-catching, and the contrasts of grays echo the patterns in the curtains.
An oven, cooktop and microwave are installed and waiting, and there is a huge farmhouse sink for doing the dishes.
The white kitchen cabinets kind of blend in with the ceiling and the walls, which actually helps to make the kitchen feel larger.
With a couple of stools set up around the countertop, there is enough space for a couple of people to dine.
This may actually be the most counter space I’ve seen in a tiny house bathroom in quite some time. This is great for those who like to take time to do their hair and makeup. The window beside the mirror lets in natural light, as do those placed overhead. There is more than adequate cabinet space for all your needs.
The bedroom, like the other rooms of the house, features a grey color scheme. The bedspread and pillows have the same pattern that you see on the curtains.
It is impossible to say enough about how great it is to see a large ground-floor bedroom like this in a tiny house. So many people can benefit from not having to walk up a flight of stairs.
In this photo, you can see where the bedroom is located relative to the other areas of the house. It is right past the kitchen. Also notice how the slope of the ceiling makes the room feel extra spacious.
