I see so many beautiful tiny houses for sale these days, but now and again, one stands out. If rustic homes are your thing, your jaw will hit the floor when you see this tiny house on wheels which is up for sale for only $29,900 in Gilmer, Texas.
I know what you must be thinking. “Surely I didn’t read that price right.” But you did. This stunning tiny house with its quaint tin roof and its striking live edge siding is for sale for under $30,000.
From every angle, this tiny house astounds with its old-fashioned charm. It looks right at home surrounded by forest, but it is easy to picture it in many other landscapes as well.
The interior, feel somewhat more conventional, still has that rustic flavor.
In the kitchen, you have all the counter space that you could ask for along with a spacious sink. You can prepare meals on a stove with two burners or in the microwave underneath. On the right-hand side, you can see the mini fridge and freezer.
You might think that the mini fridge is a drawback when so many tiny houses now boast full-size fridges. But the reality is that most people do not really need a full-size fridge and freezer at all, and can get by quite comfortably with a unit this size. Going with the smaller fridge does a lot to maximize space in the kitchen.
There is no information posted on the wood which was used for the interior walls, but you can get a close look at it here in this photo of the bathroom. It appears the wood has been lightly white-washed, with some of the original color showing through. Instead of hiding the texture, this serves to emphasize it. The effect is very cool, and in line with the other rustic elements which define the home’s character.
In terms of amenities, this room includes a toilet and sink as well as a comfortably sized shower.
I’m not positive what room this is, but it is probably the second bedroom mentioned in the description for the house (the first bedroom is the loft). I would guess that that small couch can be expanded into a bed. Clothing can be hung up on the right. While it is an undeniably cramped space, it does at least afford some rare privacy—a feature not be found in the majority of tiny homes.
In this photo, you can see that the door in the back of the kitchen leads through into that smaller bedroom. To the left of the door, a set of steps leads up to the loft with its unique triangular entrance.
This is almost the same shot, but it shows you the cooktop a bit better.
If you dream of owning this rustic tiny house, you can view the listing for it at Tiny House Marketplace on Facebook, and contact the owner, Linda L. King. The owner will accept the low price of $29,900 and is open to trades as well.
