Looking to be impressed by a gorgeous tiny house? This home was custom-built, with uniqueness showing through in every aspect of its materials and design. Both the interior and exterior are spectacularly beautiful, and the house is packed with great features for comfort and convenience. Let’s explore.
The house is located in Canada, and is priced at $65,000. Since the owner lists “Canadian pricing,” I am going to assume that means $65,000 Canadian. Measuring 25 feet in length, it stands out instantly thanks to its unusual design.
The distinctive shape of the home as well as the mismatched sizes and shapes of the windows give it a playful vibe. The door is set in under a sheltered porch.
I really am enamored with the colors. I actually painted my own tiny home this past week, and went with a dark blue that looks more like black, and an ivory that looks somewhat orangey. I actually had thought I was getting a medium navy blue and a proper ivory, but pretty much had to go with what I received.
I ended up really liking the high contrast look, and I remember thinking, “It kind of reminds me of some other tiny house color schemes I’ve seen.” And then today I see this house, and now I am feeling really good about my paint job. The colors I picked as well as the layout with the dark stripe below and the lighter color above is very close to this. It looks fabulous here, doesn’t it?
Okay, enough about my paint job, and back to exploring the house. The interior features another interesting and somewhat surprising color combination. The principle colors I see here are an orangey tan, a darker brown, white, and a wine color. I wouldn’t have thought these hues would complement each other so nicely, but they look fabulous together.
The bar is situated under a wide window so that you can look outside while you’re eating. It features live edge wood for a rustic accent. If you want to let in some fresh air, you can open the window fully.
There are storage compartments underneath the couch. Behind it, you can see this home features lots of windows for sunlight and fresh air. More light pours in from overhead through the house’s two skylights.
Rather than including a traditional loft, this tiny house takes a different approach. Instead, the bed is situated on an elevator system so that it can be raised or lowered as desired. The system is fully electric, so manual labor is not involved with changing the height. This makes it possible to customize the space to your needs as you see fit on an ongoing basis. This is actually the second time I’ve encountered a system like this in the past week, so this may be an up-and-coming design trend in tiny homes.
This photo shows you the same part of the house, this time with the bed raised up toward the ceiling. This helps you visualize the possibilities for the living space.
Here too you can appreciate the unusual but delightful color scheme, expressed in the trim framing the windows, the bedding, the pillows down below, and even the floor, which has been stained in a striking and surprising wine color.
To climb up to the bed, you can use a ladder which serves double-duty as a bookshelf.
Here is a look at the kitchen appliances, which include a three-burner stove, an oven, a sink with a high faucet, and a full-size fridge and freezer. Other amenities in the home include a flushing toilet in the bathroom (which you can replace with a composting unit if that is your preference), an air-conditioner, and a furnace.
The walls include two layers of insulation, ideal for keeping the house comfortable in any climate. The appliances run on propane, and the lighting is energy-efficient.
If you are interested in purchasing this 25-foot unique Canadian tiny home, you will be glad to learn that the price includes not just the house and the appliances, but also all the furnishings. No additional work is required; once you purchase the house, it will be all set for immediate occupancy.
