Brett and Jade Evans love adventure. Their passion is to explore, and to that end, they decided they would be brave and follow their calling, even if that meant bidding farewell to a conventional life. So one day they both quit their jobs. They relocated to Hawaii, and they constructed their own tiny house. The result is a home which is as unique as they are. Let’s take a tour.
The “Skoolie” started out as an ordinary school bus …
But through Jade and Brett’s hard work, it underwent an astonishing transformation …
Now it reflects their personality, and their love of adventure.
It certainly stands out among all the conventional RVs around it.
Inside, the couple decided to go with a neutral color scheme. Soft grays and whites keep the space from feeling cluttered, even though it is small. At the same time, they are less “harsh” than high contrast black and white would be.
The bed is in fairly cramped quarters, but it still looks ridiculously comfortable.
There is so much counter space! I am in envy!
Keeping the sink tiny really helped with that.
There is plenty of closet space across from the kitchen counter.
Do Jade and Brett have enough space to live comfortably? I’ll let you take a look at this photo of the happy couple and decide for yourself.
They even have room for a furry companion!
Brett and Jade have done an incredible job turning their dream life into a reality and creating a home which celebrates the joy of adventure that has united them as a couple. If you want to learn more, they have made a lot of photos and resources available.
Their Imgur includes numerous photos of the home under construction and after completion. They have posted quite a few cool videos on their YouTube channel, including a time-lapse of the construction. You can also view the specifications for their home, and visit them on Facebook. Check it all out; it is well worth it!
