Jonas Wagell is the renowned architect and designer from Stockholm behind the pre-fabricated “Mini House”. Measuring just 15 square meters, the concept for the house came about when he was trying to push the limits of the Swedish building code requiring a permit for any structure over that size. The result of his design was the Mini House which comes in two models, “Long” and “Wide”, each with about 160 square feet and costing around $30,000.
The house ships in flat-packaging much like Ikea furniture requires no finishing work and can be put together in two days! The basic model has a kitchen and bathroom but you can also add “plug-and-play” extras to customize the house to your needs.
The interior is plain and simple but is a blank canvas waiting for your creativity! And considering it’s assembled so quickly, you’ll have plenty of time left over to make it homey.
The style is what you’d expect from the minimalistic Swedish culture with sleek cabinets and storage in the kitchen and a hidden door leading to the bathroom.
