Pennsylvania-based company, 84 Lumber, has a tiny house model that has caught our eye: The Roving. This 154 square foot tiny house on wheels is wrapped in rustic wood with a bright green metal roof. Inside, it has even more features which set it apart including a cork floor and wood accent wall. A fully outfitted Roving will cost you around $50,000 or you can get the shell for just $20,000.
The house is fairly simple from the outside with minimal accents and a fairly monochromatic look. But we think it’s still a charming tiny house!
Inside, the home features cork floors which are impermeable to water and soft on the feet. This isn’t an option you typically see in tiny houses but we think it’s a great choice and it definitely gives it a different look.
The living area is just inside the front door and has a custom bench that can be used for lounging or with the pop-up dining table. The most noticeable feature in the room is the accent wall made of reclaimed wood. What else would you expect from a company with the world “Lumber” in its name?
From the living room, you can see the rest of the home including the kitchen and loft overhead. A beautiful wood ceiling warms the home up and pulls out the other wood accents in the home like the countertops and table.
The pop-up table has a built-in wood bench if you’re dining alone or the padded bench from the living room can be scooted closer for extra guests.
The kitchen is long and narrow with plenty of countertop space to prep meals. You also have a deep stainless steel sink at the end of the counter.
A sliding barn door off the kitchen conceals the home’s bathroom which features a composting toilet and shower stall. You also have a closet that can be hidden by sliding the door in front of it instead of the bathroom.
Upstairs the loft has room for a full-sized bed and with double dormers, you have plenty of headroom and natural light.
On the other end of the house is a small loft for storage which is perfect for bulky or off-season items.
This sweet little home would be simple to pull behind a truck and give you the freedom that only comes with embracing tiny living!
