Located in the heart of Seattle, Washington is a tiny house that, at first glance, looks as though it’s tucked away in a thick forest. This rustic cabin was built in the backyard of the homeowner’s property and is used as an Airbnb rental for visitors to the iconic city. The home is truly cozy and serene making it hard to believe that you’re only 15 minutes away from a bustling metropolis!
The home is surrounded by giant trees and lush landscaping that leads down to a clearing looking out over a lake. While located steps away from the main house, the tiny house feels secluded.
Inside, the home is the definition of “cozy” with a stone fireplace at the heart of the home providing heat to all the rooms in the cooler seasons. Thick beams cross the wood-paneled ceiling and logs line the walls while the floors are covered in stone.
The wood-burning fireplace is truly the gem of the house with gorgeous stonework and details. It anchors the entire bottom floor and provides plenty of warmth to the home.
A cozy dining room nook is beside the fireplace looking out the double windows into the beautiful yard with thick tree coverage towards the lake.
A small kitchenette is next to the table with a sink and microwave. A mini-fridge is across the room for drinks. You may not be preparing gourmet meals here but that just gives you more time to relax and unwind!
The living room features a full-sized couch and a carved-wood table with a glass top. Multiple windows let natural light flood in and give you beautiful views from any seat.
Upstairs, you have a large bedroom with wide windows giving you a panoramic view of the lake and an oversized chair to enjoy it all in! A queen-sized bed is tucked under the dormers.
Back downstairs, the bathroom has a flushing toilet, sink, and an incredible stone-tiled shower with a built-in bench and an adjustable shower head.
If you ever find yourself in Seattle, this would be a phenomenal place to stay and it would give you an idea of what it would be like to downsize! Plus, you can’t beat this view!
