When the builders at Maximus Extreme Living Solutions are contacted about building a tiny home for their customers, they say they’re limited by three things only: imagination, budget, and laws of gravity. This next tiny house shows just how true that is! Featuring blue metal accents and light wood siding, this home has several decks and resembles a puzzle more than a house!
This completely custom home was designed to be the perfect place for a skiing enthusiast to call home so of course it has ample room for storing skiing equipment and it also has a rooftop deck to enjoy the snowy scenery after a long day on the slopes. The owner also insisted on having a hot tub, so a wood-burning tub was found that can be stashed in the house while on
the move!
We’ve never seen so many decks on a tiny house before! This one is off of the front of the trailer and has room for a bench where you can sit and enjoy a cup of coffee in private if the rooftop deck gets too crowded for you.
Inside, the house continues to be innovative with multiple levels and impressive features. The split-level floor plan has a living room on the upper floor with room for a couch and a door leading out to a deck. On the other side, there’s a loft with a comfy bed suspended over the main living floor.
The second-story living area is spacious and has a large octagon window to let light stream in. All of the walls in the house are gray-washed for a neutral but unique color scheme.
The kitchen is on the lower floor and it has a gas cooktop and oven and custom cabinetry with both open and closed storage. We love how the cabinets look like salvaged furniture.
On the other end of the kitchen counter is a small but deep sink with a brushed nickel faucet. There’s also room for a mini fridge on the end of the counter.
The stairs to the mid-level living room and the loft bedroom are another unique feature of the house. They jut out from the wall and are made of wood platforms. You better make sure you have your balance before going up these steps!
Below the living room is another entertaining area as well as the all-important ski storage area. A large custom platform is built around the perimeter of the room with pillows and throws for comfort. Boots and gear can be stored in the drawers below the seating and the skis are suspended from the ceiling.
The bedroom is in the loft above the kitchen and it has room for a king-sized bed. A total of five windows let light and fresh air into the room so it feels open and spacious despite the lower ceiling.
If the inside of this house isn’t enough to fall in love with, there are plenty of things to love about the outside. With three decks including a rooftop deck, you’ll never run out of places to catch the sunset!
The hot tub was a “must” for the owner so the builder found this bright yellow portable hot tub that’s powered by burning wood and easy to store!
This tiny house is definitely a showstopper and it makes us want to see more from Maximus Extreme Homes!
