When design firm Studioata was asked to transform a 19th-century villa into a modern home, they had their work cut out for them! The tiny Italian house was limited on space and was anything but modern, but they worked their magic and created a masterpiece!
Inside, the house is split into three levels that step up or down into one another. The wood floors make the levels blend together so it looks like one huge space but if you look hard, you’ll see that the midlevel is actually the kitchen area!
In this picture, you can see the kitchen more clearly with the top raised to reveal the countertops. You have a sink and stove with a gas cooktop.
This is definitely one of the most unique kitchens we’ve ever seen in a tiny house!
Oh, and did we mention the storage? You have cabinets everywhere on the midlevel! They’re in the step, the floor and below the cabinets!
The living area feels like you’re outside thanks to the full wall of windows! Everything else is kept simple and modern.
The bedroom is on the top tier and it has built-in shelves and frosted glass doors.
Back outside, the exterior kept its 19th-century charm with the gorgeous stone walls and pathway.
We think it’s a perfect blend of old and new!
Do you see the staircase leading up the wall? Another special touch by Studioata.
It’s definitely not like anything else you’d expect to see in Italy, but the designers did an incredible job and made the perfect tiny modern villa.
