You know that “happily ever after” moment at the end of movies where the characters drive off into the sunset? I always picture them moving somewhere like this location in the Bourbonnais Mountains in Auvergne, France. Of course, that’s probably just because that’s the kind of place I’d move to. But really, can you pick a more idyllic place than this? And just wait till you see the “Gypsy wagon” tiny house which is parked up here overlooking the amazing countryside!
Here you can see the beautiful low mountains overlooking the idyllic pastures of Auvergne.
The “Gypsy wagon” is actually one of two tiny houses which are part of a resort called La Grande Serve. This one, known as “La Paris,” has a bedroom, terrace doors, a kitchenette, a table, chairs, and an outdoor fire pit. At La Paris, guests have all the amenities, even wi-fi! From its location up on the hillside, La Paris commands an incredible view of the countryside.
Here, you can take a look inside La Paris. Wood walls with a lovely warm, reddish finish make for a beautiful interior.
The bedroom has a bed with an extra-comfy mattress designed to accommodate guests with back pain. As you can see, the bedroom is simple and rustic in design, and looks very cozy.
Here is an outdoor shot where you can get a good look at the picnic table. The trees and umbrella provide shade. This is one of my favorite photos of La Paris, because that table just looks so tempting. Don’t you just want to imagine yourself there eating and looking out at the view before retiring to that comfy bed?
In this photo, you can see the side of the tiny house with the windows open to let in the fresh air.
In this photo, you can see that one of the trees near the front of the tiny house is an apple tree.
Outside is a hammock suspended under some beautiful glowing lights in different colors. What a relaxing spot to recline and enjoy the evening breezes. The ambiance is incredible.
Look at all the gorgeous wood used in the construction of this amazing tiny house!
Here you really get a feel for the forested setting. There is so much greenery here. You can just imagine the dappled sunlight and shadows which would grace every surface inside this tiny house throughout the day. Even though this is really a place to get away from it all, you aren’t too far from civilization. Believe it or not, the closest village is just half a mile away, so you can take a short walk through gorgeous countryside to get whatever you need. The village hosts a grocery store, restaurants, and a clinic.
Here is one more amazing photo with a rainbow sweeping overhead, beautifully framing this rustic, beautiful French tiny house.
Staying here would be an absolute dream come true! So if you are planning on visiting the Auvergne region of France anytime soon, be sure to visit the official website below and book a reservation at La Paris at La Grande Serve!
