One of the best things about tiny houses is the fact that they can be mobile. We have seen a lot of awesome tiny houses on wheels, but here is one on the water! And this is definitely one of the most charmingly creative houseboats you are ever going to see. It really doesn’t look like a boat at all. It just looks like a beautiful little house on the water.
The house is located in Texas Chuck Moorage in Seattle, WA, and is just a ray of sunshine with its bright, bubbly colors!
Here is a shot of the exterior of the home. I never in a hundred years would have thought these colors would work together. I’d have thought that bright lime green would clash with just about anything. But it actually makes a wonderful balancing complement to the orange and blues. The house stands out without being at all garish.
Here is the living room. It isn’t nearly as colorful inside, taking more of a minimalist approach to décor, but this helps to maintain a clean sense of openness.
There is plenty of warmth thanks to the hardwood flooring and cabinets in the kitchen. An antique rug makes for a softer look.
The bedroom is minimalist, but very charming and cozy.
The wash room and bathroom are combined. I am loving the muted colors here.
Just look at this amazing little deck! Here we have the bright colors of the exterior of the home in full focus, accented nicely by the red table and chairs. This is one of two decks on the home. This one provides a great view of the houseboat community.
Here is another wonderful view from the top deck:
And finally, here is a view of the dock itself where the home is tethered along with its neighboring houseboats:
What a unique home in a beautiful, picturesque, and unusual community! Tiny houses like this one don’t just remind us of what we can do with small spaces. They remind us that there are so many different ways of life we can explore and so many different kinds of structures we can call home!
