We’re huge fans of log cabins and we’re even bigger fans of Hobbit houses, so when we came across this tiny house that combines those two, we were thrilled! This adorable home is located in Talkeetna, Alaska and is used as an Airbnb rental for lucky guests. We love the charming exterior with the live green roof and lush landscaping. Massive beams form the structure of the home and add architecture appeal around the rounded front door.
Inside, the home is one large room with exposed log walls and rustic décor. A king-sized log bed is in the center of the home with a TV mounted in the corner and separate desk and wet bar areas.
The owner goes to great lengths to make guests feel at home as you can tell from the Airbnb pictures.
A wood burning fireplace is against the back wall to keep the home toasty during the cold Alaskan seasons.
The bathroom features a corner shower with a flushing toilet and small vanity with a sink and medicine cabinet above.
But perhaps the best part of this tiny house is the breathtaking views that are found just outside the doors. Enjoy the day while relaxing on this large deck that overlooks the crystal blue water with mountains in the distant.
With rates starting at $150 a night, this is a gorgeous and affordable place to stay if you’re ever fortunate enough to visit the area. Be sure to check it out at https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/5086317 for more pictures and details.
