Dusty and Ashley are a couple with many hobbies, one of which his flying planes, so when it came time to design their tiny home with the goal of becoming mortgage-free they looked to the skies for inspiration with the help of Tiny House Nation. The exterior of their 315 square foot house was designed with the sleek style of an airplane in mind and the interior was given room to entertain and work.
Rolled aluminum wraps the home with black matte decals and definitely reminds you of an old fighter plane.
The home’s kitchen is spacious and well-equipped with a large sink and a full-size five-burner stove. Clever storage was added below the cabinets by attaching mason jars to store spices and ingredients. We love how the dark cabinets look against the wooden countertops and walls.
The staircase leading to the loft reminds you of compartments that you see in airplanes. Inside the steps, you have hidden storage and they even contain extra desk space and seating that’s all revealed when you slide the staircase away from the wall! We love the innovative thinking that was put into these custom stairs!
