When you picture the ideal candidate for a tiny house, you may not naturally think of retired basketball players who tower over most people while standing 6’10”! However, Matt Bonner is just that and he contacted the talented people at Tiny House Nation and asked for their help in designing his cabin-style tiny house. The home was built around his height requirements and even has a screened-in porch!
The house was wrapped in stained wood and a basketball court was even attached to the side of the home.
Inside, the home has taller proportions than most tiny homes and has a cozy living room with a stone fireplace in the corner and a comfy couch.
The small kitchenette is in the middle of the home and features a mini-fridge, cooktop, drawer-style dishwasher, and a small sink. The slim ladder for the loft can be pulled down in front of the kitchen and then pushed up and away when not needed.
Down the hallway is a large bathroom with a sliding door for privacy. Inside you have a flushable toilet, custom sink vanity, and an extra-tall shower stall with creative cubbies built into the wall.
The bedroom is on the back of the home with hanging lights over the queen-sized bed and a large window that lets natural light flood in.
Upstairs in the large loft is room for a sitting area and two beds for the children.
